Really, anything which gets you moving in a friendly setting which you enjoy can be beneficial and have an immense impact on your body and mind.

It is essential to the longevity of human beings, especially because it helps counteract stress, which according to research cited in Times Magazine is a major factor in many of the leading causes of death in the United States.


Recreation can be organized as in city softball leagues, individualized as in private quiet walks, or occasionally scheduled as in active vacations.

More and more people are choosing active vacations such as ski trips, back packing trips, scuba, and snorkeling trips while finding great physical and mental enjoyment. These are great ways to completely get your mind off the pressures of work.

Seniors can also enjoy activities like crafts, dancing and horse shoes. Fun and entertainment really does come in many different packages.
